I suddenly realized there was no reason to worry about periodicity in my Best awards. They have always been the best of five, so why not name it that? This week, the Best Book of five is The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins!

It’s on my list for The Classics Spin! Do you mind explaining a bit more about your awards, and best of five. What are the other 4?
Every five books I review, I pick my favorite. I’ve been doing this almost since I started, when I was reading close to five books a week, so at that time I called it Best Book of the Week. Then I cut my blogging back, because my reading wasn’t keeping up with five book a week, so I changed it to Best Biweekly Book. But it’s always been the best of five books, and I’ve just been changing the name.
To make it a little clearer (I hope), The Moonstone is the 1141th book I’ve reviewed. The other four are 1142-1145, the books reviewed in that span of five, so in this case, Bloodline, Cousin Kate, The Victorian Chaise-Longue, and By the Pricking of My Thumbs.
